Business Visa for China Overview

It is important to understand that Chinese business visas are intended for those who are visiting companies in China as part or normal business meetings.

Business Meetings in China

They are not intended to replace the necessity for a Chinese work visa if you will be directly employed or performing technical work or training. In order to obtain a China business visa, you must provide, among other requirements, a letter of invitation from the host company in China detailing who you are visiting and what type of business will transpire. A similar letter from your employer in the US is required as well.
